Selling an inherited or estate cigar collection
A humidor full of boxes can be one of the harder things to deal with after someone dies. You don’t need to know what’s in it. Send us a few photos and we’ll identify the cigars, and tell you plainly whether they’re something we can buy.
Who we help
Families, executors and estate lawyers handling a collector’s cigars, from a few boxes to a full walk-in humidor.

We identify what’s there
Photos of the boxes, and of the box bottoms where the codes are stamped, are usually enough for us to tell you what the collection holds.
Boxes, cabinets and humidors
Sealed and opened boxes, cabinet selections, jars and Habanos release humidors that are part of the collection.
One buyer for the collection
Where it fits our criteria, we can make one offer for the collection, rather than you selling it box by box.
Handled with care
Your enquiry stays between you and Leander, and we don’t share who we buy from.
What to send us
The more of this you can share, the clearer our answer. A rough start is fine.
Photos
The humidor or shelves as a whole, the front of each box, and the bottoms where the codes are stamped.
A rough list
Brands and sizes if you can read them. Approximate counts are fine.
How they were kept
Where the cigars have been stored since, and for how long.
Your role
Whether you’re the executor, a family member or acting for the estate. Before we buy, we confirm who has the authority to sell.
We don’t buy every collection, and we won’t name a price before we’ve reviewed the cigars. Purchases depend on authenticity, condition, provenance, your authority to sell, and the rules that apply where the cigars are.
How it works
Three steps, and no obligation at any point.
Submit the details
Use our form or WhatsApp to send the list, photos and storage details.
We review the inventory
Authenticity, packaging, condition, provenance and whether it fits what we buy.
We discuss a purchase
If it qualifies, you get one clear offer with the terms, the handover and payment in cash.
Questions sellers ask
What should I do with cigars from an estate collection?
Keep them where they are, keep any humidor running, and don’t open sealed boxes. Then photograph the boxes, including the bottoms where the codes are stamped, and send the photos to a specialist buyer. We can identify estate collection cigars from photos alone.
Who buys inherited cigar collections?
Specialist buyers like us, auction houses, and sometimes private collectors. We review the collection from photos, and if it fits what we buy, we make one offer for it and pay in cash.
What if I don’t know what the cigars are?
That’s common. Send photos of the boxes, including the bottoms where the codes are stamped, and we’ll identify them for you.
Do I need to be the executor to sell?
You need the authority to sell the cigars. That’s usually the executor or administrator of the estate, or someone acting with their agreement. We’ll ask about this before any purchase.
Will you buy the whole collection?
It depends on what’s in it and its condition. We’ll tell you plainly which parts, if any, we can buy.
